The post holder will perform engineering work in operations, production or maintenance environments. They will design components, installations and parts, processes, instruments and equipment, and test manufactured products to maintain quality. They will plan, design and estimate time and cost, and oversee construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, systems and components. Duties include analysis and development of solutions to production engineering problems related to manufacturing equipment and systems or the causes of component failures. This includes developing and applying production engineering standards and procedures, and providing advice on issues within the engineering function.
