Interior Trim Development Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead localization and development of automotive interior components, including structural design, material selection and technical reviews, ensuring on-time delivery to mass production.
• Interface with styling, vehicle integration, testing, manufacturing and suppliers to drive interior parts through the full development cycle: design freeze → tooling → trial builds → DV/PV validation → SOP.
• Conduct and follow up DV/PV validation activities, analyze test issues and implement corrective actions to close open points.
• Respond to quality concerns quickly and collaborate with suppliers, plant and quality teams to drive issue resolution.
• Review tooling and manufacturing feasibility (DFM) for injection-molded, blow-molded, foamed and other interior components to ensure manufacturability and durability.
