PMU for Technical Support and Implementation of Comprehensive Disaster Planning, Management & Response, Government of Maharashtra
Project Overview
Palladium has been appointed as the Project Management and Technical Support Facility to the Government of Maharashtra for a 4-year period. Palladium will implement a first-of-its-kind comprehensive approach in India towards addressing all aspects of disaster management, including Preparedness, Mitigation, Response, Relief, and Rehabilitation. We will contribute towards improving the ability to understand and map disaster risk, strengthen relationships between departments, CSOs, NGOs, and other ecosystem partners through targeted mainstreaming and convergence, align appropriate physical, financial, and human resources to support on-ground activities, and support resilience at the community and state level through innovations and best practices from across the globe.
The interns will be primarily engaged in :
- Field-level coordination and documentation
- Primary/Secondary Risk Assessment
- Data compilation, reporting, and stakeholder interaction
- Support to existing team in Nashik
Preferred profile:
- Fluency in spoken and written Marathi (mandatory)
- Background in Disaster Management, Social Work, Urban Planning, Public Policy, Engineering, or related disciplines
- Familiarity with government systems and district administration will be an added advantage
- Willingness to work on ground in Nashik district during the assignment period
