With over 130 years of experience navigating in some of the world’s most complex and difficult waters, Seaspan Marine Transportation is the largest and most diverse tug & barge company on Canada’s West Coast, providing more than 2,500 ship assist and escort services annually, while our fleet of over 100 specialty and general-purpose barges provide critical transportation for many of BC’s largest industries and major marine construction projects. 

HaiSea Marine is a joint venture majority owned by the Haisla Nation in partnership with Seaspan ULC. The HaiSea Marine fleet is among the greenest tugboat fleets in the world and provides ship-assist and escort towing services to LNG carriers calling at the new export facility in Kitimat in the unceded traditional territory of the Haisla Nation.
