Job Description
The Intern, Legal will assist the Legal Department with supporting the business units of Seaspan Shipyards. The position will be exposed to various areas of the law, with a primary focus on contracts and commercial.
Note: Due to business needs, this position is required to be fully on-site based at 2 Pemberton Avenue, North Vancouver.
What you’ll do
Work in collaboration with the Legal Department and Seaspan Shipyards’ business units. Review and provide comments on contracts, non-disclosure agreements, and legal correspondence.Consider Legal Department processes and assess areas for improvement.Support negotiation of customer and supplier contracts.Draft contract terms for supply arrangements and assists Supply Chain Management to draft terms of shipyard procurement contracts.Prepare materials to obtain governance authorizations for contracts.Support the preparation of materials, presentations,...
