Brenntag,the world market leader in chemical and ingredients distribution, is looking tocomplete its EMEA internal audit team with a highly engaged Internal Audit Manager (m/w/d).  Become part of an international, friendly and committed team!

Therole can be based in any Brenntag location within Europe.

YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and conduct internal audit projects of Group companies end-to-end
  • Lead small audit project teams
  • Assess if processes and controls are in compliance with internal and external guidelines
  • Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and make valuable recommendations to improve the overall control environment
  • Identify opportunities for improvements regarding business processes and efficiency of controls and provide recommendations to create added value for the Group
  • Present internal audit results and communicate effectively with all stakeholders
  • Support the audit plan preparation and the further development of the audit methodology
  • Develop audit programs
  • Follow up on recommendations and action plans

    • YOUR PROFILE

  • Degree in business administration, finance, IT or comparable qualifications or experience, ideally with a professional certification (e.g. CIA, ACCA, CPA)
  • Several years of auditing or finance-related professional experience in an international public accounting firm (preferably Big 4) or in multinational corporations
  • Practical knowledge in the application and implementation of relevant standards for auditing in a complex international environment and ideally in a matrix organization
  • Strong analytical skills, combined with excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience in international project management
  • High motivation for independent project work and solution-oriented thinking
  • Open to travel internationally (approx. 20%)
  • Fluent in English, preferably other language skills
  • Experience in the distribution or chemical industry would be an advantage
