Internal Auditor

About the role

Our Internal Auditor will play a pivotal role in strengthening governance, risk management, and assurance at Council. Working closely with executive leadership and the Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee (ARIC), you will design and deliver an internal audit program that provides clear, practical insights on Council’s strategic and operational risks.

This is a permanent part time role in the Governance and Risk team, based at the Moruya Administration Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for key duties including developing an effective audit program, providing professional advice to executive leadership and ARIC, monitoring and reporting on audit findings and supporting timely resolution, acting as a key contact for financial auditors, and providing guidance on risk mitigation strategies.

The starting salary for this position is $61.85 per hour plus 12% superannuation.
