This full-time opportunity is vital in enhancing patient care, reducing hospital backlog, and ensuring patients receive timely GI services while remaining close to home. Your expertise will directly support patient outcomes and the efficiency of hospital operations.


Key Responsibilities:

• Provide effective GI care coverage during designated shifts, including weekdays and weekends.


• Support call coverage, including 24-hour on-call duties, with flexibility to include clinic hours.


• Cover both hospitals during on-call periods, facilitating patient continuity and comfort.


• Assist with screening procedures and manage hospital GI needs efficiently.

Required Skills:

• Medical degree from an accredited institution and valid medical license.


• Board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology/Internal Medicine with subspecialty training or experience in Gastroenterology.


• Proven expertise in hospital-based GI services, including call coverage.


• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.


• Ability to adapt to dynamic hospital environments and manage multiple priorities.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with outpatient clinic and hospital consults.


• Familiarity with hospital credentialing and privileges in Gastroenterology.


• Previous experience providing on-call and emergency coverage.


• Knowledge of current GI screening and diagnostic procedures.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Gastroenterology.


• Minimum of 2+ years of hospital-based practice or locum tenens experience in GI.

Other Requirements:

• All necessary licensure, certification, and compliance with Employee Health requirements.


• Willingness to provide coverage on a flexible schedule, including weekends.


• Travel and lodging reimbursements as applicable.
