Position Summary
Reporting to the Regional Manager, the International Admissions Assistant for Asia Pacific & Oceania, processes and evaluates admissions for new international students, from recruitment through registration, within their assigned geographic region. They provide post-registration support and are expected to possess regional expertise, including fluency in a primary language of that region.
Under the guidance of Regional and Recruitment Managers, they support recruitment by engaging with prospective international students, promoting Centennial College, and participating in virtual and in-person marketing and recruitment events. Responsibilities include conducting informational sessions, conversion activities (e.g., calling campaigns), and campus tours to meet international enrolment targets.
The role involves processing admissions for certificate, diploma, degree, and graduate programs, issuing offers, and ensuring accurate registration. Extensive knowledge of global education systems and their Canadian equivalencies is essential.
Additionally, the role includes responding to diverse inquiries from stakeholders, maintaining confidentiality, and managing high volumes of work under pressure. Incumbents provide backup support to other service areas in the International Education Office during peak periods to meet deadlines and objectives.
