- Advice on Defence's obligations under United States (US) and other foreign export controls;
- Sound decision-making and judgement on strategic and international policy advice as it relates to international export controls;
- In-depth knowledge of arms regulations, strategic and international policy as it relates to international export controls;
- Complex problem-solving skills for the management of sensitive projects that impact on strategic, political or operational outcomes for Defence and the Commonwealth of Australia (CoA);
