The Vehicle Efficiency team is part of the Vehicle Performance Engineering division and is responsible for Aerodynamics, Aeroacoustics, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning performance of Toyota vehicles in Europe.

Your project

Develop AI-based method to accelerate Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) calculations for external aerodynamics

  • Investigate current CFD simulation workflows and identify time-consuming stepsAnalyse existing datasets to explore potential for AI/ML-based surrogate modellingDevelop machine learning models (., neural networks, Gaussian processes) to approximate CFD resultsTrain and validate models using historical simulation dataCompare model accuracy and computational efficiency versus traditional CFDCollaborate with aerodynamicists and simulation experts to refine model integration
