**Overview**
Element has an opportunity for a Materials Testing Intern. In this role, you will work with engineers and technicians to perform daily tasks related to non-metallic and metallic materials testing including sample preparation, test setup, testing, and reporting. This opportunity will give you invaluable on the job experience and exposure to the materials testing field.
Salary: $21- 23$/hr DOE
**Responsibilities**
• Perform a variety of physical property testing including, but not limited to; tensile, compression, flexural, hardness, thermal conductivity, flammability, water absorption, vapor transmission, color, gloss, adhesion, weld macros, charpy, sample etching, hardness and microhardness, etc.
• Prepare and analyze samples for testing, primarily in the non-metallic department with crossover into the metallic department as available
• Interpret data, review, and report testing results
