Interventional Rad Tech-PD

Summary:

Under general supervision of Lead Technologist and the sections Medical Director following established policies and procedures and in conjunction with other technical health care personnel assists physicians in the conduct of specialized angiographic examinations of designated parts of the circulatory system. Operates high speed serial radiography and cinegraphy equipment which exposes film while high pressure injector is delivering the contrast media into the blood vessels from a catheter positioned by the physician.

Responsibilities:
Maintains work areas in a clean and orderly condition using aseptic cleaning techniques where necessary. Ensures that examination rooms are properly supplied equipped and operational before each examination. May assist in setting up sterile supply trays required by physician.
