Job Description
MISSION
Support managers in monitoring logistics costs. Control the site's inventory, managing action plans with department analysts. Periodically update the Plan for Every Part (PFEP) and internal logistic routes (MIZU). Lead improvement projects within planning and logistics functions. Act as a PMO, consolidating department-wide projects.
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES
- Participate in the definition and control of the area's budget, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and profitability improvement.
- Monitor the costs of the Logistics department. Report the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). When necessary, create and follow up on action plans. Lead monthly meetings for cost monitoring / cost performance review.
- Support all analysts and managers in defining inventory policies for Raw Material (RM), Work In Progress (WIP), and Finished Goods (FG), utilizing Supply Chain best practices. Additionally, support the definition of inventory targets.
- Maintain the master data updated in SAP: inventory policies, MRP planners and various material settings/records.
- Generate monthly inventory reports for Raw Material (RM), Work In Progress (WIP), and Finished Goods (FG). Export information from SAP, cross-referencing it with department targets. Lead a monthly meeting with all stakeholders to create an inventory optimization plan.
- Ensure the Plan for Every Part (PFEP) is always up-to-date, generating optimization plans for lot sizes, material flows and packaging. Always connecting this work with the warehouse structure and material handling equipment.
- Maintain the Mizusumashi routes optimized, considering updates to the factory layout and/or warehouses. Seek benchmarking with other plants and market technologies.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives in the supply chain and production, applying methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Six Sigma. This includes projects within the planning team, interfacing with the IT team and others, or within the internal logistics team. Connecting key stakeholders: Production, Engineering, HR, IT, Procurement and others.
- Implement and maintain the 3Q6S methodology and operational excellence tools to ensure efficiency, organization, and safety in the workplace, fostering a culture of quality, autonomous maintenance, 5S, and continuous improvement across all operational processes.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree (Engineer, Logistics, Administration or Foreign Trade)
- Desirable: MBA in Logistics and Supply Chain Management
KNOWLEDGE
- Experience in developing internal logistics flows, including sizing of teams (manpower) and equipment.
- Experience in Production and Materials Planning and Control, preferably within industrial environments. Including knowledge of inventory management methodologies, demand planning, and production capacity control.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP), Data Analytics and BI
- Analytical and strategic skills for data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication and the ability to influence across different organizational levels.
- Fluent English
