Our client is a well-established National group of companies and provider to the electrical industry, with a strong presence in the Industrial and Construction sectors. Due to continued company growth, the Switchboard Manufacturing company have new opportunities to join their business.

Based in Brisbane, this large team of industry experts specialise in electrical engineering for Government, Heavy Industry, Food and Utilities. This is a National professional and stable business boasting over 40 years of successful operation and consistent growth, with a strong focus on building strong relationships with their valued clients.   

Their product range includes Australian-designed and manufactured LV and HV power distribution products. Managing client needs in-house, from design and sheet metal fabrication to assembly, testing, installation, and project management, across our three manufacturing facilities across Australia. 

Inventory Controller - Switchboard Workshop

Due to continued growth there is a new opportunity for an experienced Inventory Controller to join the business and contribute toward expanding their company footprint within the Electrical Engineering & Manufacturing sector. Including the following Responsibilities:

  • Stock control and incoming QA of materials

  • Setting up and maintaining spreadsheets, barcodes, and sign-out systems for jobs

  • Monthly stock ordering and regular stock takes

  • Maintaining tidy, well-organised storage areas

  • Overseeing stores for incoming jobs

  • QA checking boards on arrival (damage checks and consistency with drawings)

  • Marking off bills of materials

  • Signing stock in and out for specific jobs

Who are we looking for?

This is the perfect new career opportunity for an industry professional who brings strong organisational skills and great attention to details.. You will also demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

  • Previous experience with stock control, barcoding systems, or warehouse operations
  • Solid Computer skills 
  • Previous Pronto experience would be highly regarded 
  • Knowledge of electrical equipment is beneficial however not an essential as training will be provided
