About the Role
At The Sleep Company, we are scaling rapidly across omnichannel formats including D2C, retail, and quick commerce. We are looking for a Head of Inventory Management to own end-to-end inventory planning, control, and optimization across warehouses, stores, and partner platforms. This role is critical to ensuring high availability, optimal working capital, and seamless customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Own and lead the overall inventory strategy across manufacturing units, warehouses, retail stores, and online channels.
Drive accurate demand forecasting in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Planning teams.
Ensure optimal inventory levels to balance service levels and working capital efficiency.
Monitor inventory aging, slow-moving and obsolete stock; define and execute liquidation or optimization strategies.
Oversee stock reconciliation, cycle counts, audits, and system accuracy across all locations.
Build strong controls and SOPs for inward, outward, transfers, and returns.
Partner closely with Procurement, Production, Finance, and Logistics to align inventory plans with business goals.
Manage inventory for new launches, promotions, seasonal spikes, and quick commerce requirements.
Lead and develop a high-performing inventory planning and warehouse coordination team.
Drive system improvements, automation, and data visibility through ERP/WMS tools.
Track and report key KPIs such as inventory turns, fill rate, stock cover, aging, and shrinkage.
Requirements & Qualifications
8–12+ years of experience in inventory management, supply chain, or operations, preferably in consumer brands, retail, e-commerce, or manufacturing.
Strong exposure to omnichannel inventory management (D2C, marketplaces, retail).
Hands-on experience with ERP/WMS systems and advanced Excel / data analysis.
Proven ability to manage large SKUs and multi-location inventory.
Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
High ownership mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Experience in scaling operations in a high-growth environment is a plus.
