Job Description
A company in the chemical industry is looking for an Inventory Planning Specialist to ensure optimal availability of raw materials and finished goods, working closely with Procurement, Production, Sales, and Logistics.
Role Purpose
Ensure the right inventory levels (raw materials and finished goods) through demand analysis, planning, and continuous follow-up, considering consumption patterns, international lead times, and service level targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and monitor inventory levels for raw materials and finished goods across a high-volume SKU portfolio
- Analyze consumption, turnover, and coverage to prevent overstock, stockouts, and obsolescence
- Track national and international purchase orders (arrivals and lead times)
- Coordinate supply priorities with Procurement, Production, Sales, and Logistics teams
- Monitor inventory performance in the ERP and propose corrective actions when deviations occur
- Build and share inventory KPIs and reports (turnover, coverage, service level) to support decision-making
Requirements
Education: Industrial or Chemical Engineering, International Trade, Logistics, Business Administration, or related fields
Experience: 5–7 years in inventory planning / supply chain, managing complex SKU portfolios (minimum 5,000 SKUs; ideally 8,000–10,000)
Technical Skills
- Microsoft 365 (Intermediate)
- ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Advanced English
