IOT Connectivity Lead For a leading Automotive OEM

Roles and Responsibilities The selected candidate will be part of a movement to incorporate the latest customer-centric connectivity features in the upcoming vehicles.

Will be responsible for definition of functional requirements based on higher-level ecosystem requirements and constraints, and for driving their development with an external vendor or in-house hardware & software teams, while also being able to understand dependencies on established systems.

Would be responsible for definition of testing requirements in collaboration with the testing team(s) and coordinate verification of functionality.

Would Interact with IT teams/vendors to structure and manage the data pipeline - from data streamed by telematics devices to drawing actionable insights using this data.

Assist in evaluation of new technology solutions to support use cases of customers

Assist in scoping out the latest regulatory requirements in the connected vehicle infrastructure and assess their implications on vehicles and systems.

Prepare concise reports and present the same to the lead engineer and organization leadership team.

Participate in a culture of solution brainstorming, design reviews and constructive feedback sessions.

Required Exposure: Sound understanding of IOT fundamentals and network protocols – TCP, MQTT, HTTPDevice management and public key Infrastructure (PKI) for security in IOT.Proficiency with MS-Excel and scripting in VB Script/ Python/ R.Exposure to databases and ability to formulate correct queries – SQL/noSQL/ MongoDBExposure to data representation formats – XML and JSON.Exposure to AWS/ MS Azure/ Google firebase.
Desired Candidate Profile Preferred add-ons:Familiarity with version control tools -Git,SVN, and issue tracking tools – Jira/RedmineEmbedded software experience.Zeal for documentation.Embedded software experience.
