We are seeking a skilled IoT Engineer – Industrial Automation & Data Analytics to design, build, and deploy end-to-end Industrial IoT (IIoT) solutions for manufacturing environments. This role focuses on integrating factory floor systems—particularly PLCs and embedded devices—with modern IoT platforms to enable real-time data acquisition, analytics, and actionable insights. You will work across hardware, firmware, networking, and cloud layers to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance IoT systems that improve operational efficiency and support data-driven decision-making in industrial settings. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai (Malad West), ideal for engineers who enjoy hands-on problem-solving in real-world manufacturing environments.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement industrial IoT architectures for factory automation, integrating sensors, embedded systems, PLCs, edge devices, and cloud platforms.
  • Interface with PLCs (such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi) to acquire operational data using industrial protocols including Modbus, OPC UA, Ethernet/IP, Profibus, and Profinet.
  • Develop end-to-end data acquisition workflows, including real-time data polling, event-driven triggers, edge processing, and secure cloud ingestion.
  • Build and deploy IoT solutions using platforms such as AWS IoT, Azure IoT, Zoho IoT, or equivalent third-party ecosystems.
  • Develop firmware for microcontrollers and edge devices (ESP32, STM32, Raspberry Pi, Arduino), ensuring reliability, performance, and low-latency communication.
  • Implement and optimize communication protocols such as MQTT, LoRa, BLE, Wi-Fi, and OPC UA for reliable industrial connectivity.
  • Process, clean, and model factory data using structured pipelines to enable analytics, reporting, and visualization.
  • Develop dashboards and visualizations to track machine performance, production KPIs, and operational trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot system issues, optimize performance, and ensure seamless deployment in live factory environments.
  • Ensure system scalability, security, and compliance with industrial and data integrity standards.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of hands-on experience in IoT development, embedded systems, or industrial automation.
  • Proven experience integrating PLCs and factory floor equipment with IoT platforms.
  • Strong programming skills in C, C++, Python, Embedded C, and scripting for IoT edge applications.
  • Solid understanding of embedded hardware, sensor integration, PCB design, and firmware development.
  • Experience working with industrial communication protocols and IIoT gateways.
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms, data modeling, databases, and visualization tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with factory engineers, automation teams, and data stakeholders.
  • Adaptability and enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced, technology-driven manufacturing environment.
