Responsible for configuration and activation of customer services over Layer-3 network for both Customer Orders and 'Internal Network Optimisation Orders' and supports field Technicians and Customers in installations and activations.

Job Summary


IP Delivery Engineers are responsible for the configuration and activation of IP network services for Customer Orders, actioning Internal Network Optimisation Orders, and supporting Field Technicians and Customers in installations and activations. IP Delivery Engineers provide their subject matter expertise and are the customer's point of contact through the delivery and support with handover and maintenance.

Job Description


Typical tasks and responsibilities will include:


•Leading the configuration and activation of customer IP network services (e.g. IPVPN, SDWAN, Internet Access) over Layer-3 network (Customer CPE, SAR routers etc)


• Actioning Internal Network Optimisation Orders (New Modification and ceases/cancellations).


• Ensuring accurate implementation and acceptance testing of routers, switches, firewalls and related equipment.


• Providing IP subject matter expertise to support field technicians and serve as the point of contact for customers throughout the delivery project


• Facilitating customer training and preparing project handover documentation.


• Supporting customer network maintenance and prompt resolution of issues.


• Identifying areas for improvement and working with team leads and managers to implement changes to drive better outcomes for customers and colleagues.

Education


A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Network Engineering, or a relevant Engineering discipline
