+ Perform engineering design evaluations and concept development across global vehicle programs
+ Use engineering tools and demonstrate CAE groups including Safety Performance to optimally develop the best system solution
+ Assessment of design to manufacturing processes (e.g. injection molding, vibration welding, vacuum forming, foam-in-place, wrapping) for instrument panels and consoles
+ Assessment of design to manufacturing processes used for IP Structures. Processes include steel & aluminum stamping and extrusion as well as robotic welding, magnesium die casting, and hybrid concepts.
+ Package components and collaborate with other systems within the vehicle (Thermal, Electrical, Body, Chassis, Restraints, etc.)
+ Work multi-functionally to support initial vehicle configuration work, realize cost optimization, deliver customer focused requirements, and implement product and process improvements
