A healthcare opportunity is available for an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist in Lexington, NC, offering a contract position with a prestigious Level 1 Trauma Center and Academic Medical Center nearby. This role is integral to a high-volume Interventional Radiology department supporting comprehensive stroke and complex procedural cases. The position requires a minimum of two years experience specific to Interventional Radiology at a Level 1 Trauma Center, but first-time travelers with the right background are welcome to apply. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Minimum 2 years experience in Interventional Radiology Body/Neuro procedures at a Level 1 Trauma Center Certification required: ARRT-R or RCIS Current BLS certification mandatory Skilled in scrubbing and assisting during procedures, circulating to operate equipment, and managing procedural supplies Comfortable working in a fast-paced, teaching hospital environment with a team of providers including neurosurgeons and radiologists Location: Situated in Lexington, NC, this role offers proximity to a major academic medical center with cutting-edge technology and diverse patient cases. Responsibilities: Assist in complex interventional procedures including embolizations, thrombectomies, Y-90 treatments, biopsies, and drainage procedures Operate and manage advanced imaging equipment such as Siemens, GE, Philips imaging systems, and GE ultrasound units Collaborate closely with nursing staff and physicians to ensure seamless patient care Participate in departmental support activities including room turnover and inventory management with the assistance of tech extenders Participate in call rotations, weekend, and holiday coverage as scheduled Schedule: Options include 3-12 hour shifts, 4-10 hour shifts, or 5-8 hour shifts with call responsibilities approximately 3-4 days per month Weekend call once every 5-6 weekends and holiday coverage with around 75% holiday work requirement subject to schedule Flexible scheduling with rotating cycles every 4-6 weeks Additional Perks and Benefits: Free parking onsite Hospital provides scrub attire Orientation period up to two weeks for smooth onboarding Supportive departmental culture accustomed to new grads and preceptorship roles This contract opportunity offers the chance to work in a dynamic, supportive environment with cutting-edge imaging technology within a nationally recognized trauma and academic center.
