This Position reports to:

Your role and responsibilities:

Reporting to the local IS Infrastructure Manager and functionally to local Digital Lead, will support manufacturing environments for infrastructure activities within all IS process domains.

The candidate will have to coordinate the IS activities within the sites of competence regarding the services of local Network, PC Hardware, Software, Applications and manufacturing equipment providing support and problem resolution for end users.

The candidate will support ABB site located in S.Palomba.

The work model for the role is : Onsite

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Support the production environment for IS needs and issues by ensuring alignment with global procedures

• Ensure that solutions meet business requirements by adhering to security and IS requirements and driving best-in-class solutions and implementations.

• Coordinate patch releases and deployments with IS and manufacturing to reduce production downtime and disruption.

• Maintain the knowledge of the IS hardware in the locations of own competence concerning the network topology and beyond, coordinating directly with the centralized Network Team

• Setup and maintain a backup & restore system to garantee Business Continuity

• Ensure prompt troubleshooting to detect causes of system outages

• Setup and maintain a software tool to monitor IT infrastructure such as servers and virtual machines.

• Create the SW and HW technical requirements to standardize new system installations.

• Coordinate new software installation with the IS department, vendors, and the local digital team, whether on-premises or in the cloud architecture

• Collaborate with the local digital team to support deployment of pipelines for the supervisory control and data acquisition system.

Qualifications for the role:

• High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems related field preferred.

• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in an enterprise End User support role.

• Experience working in a demanding environment and problems solving approach. Understanding of Networking Topology concepts and Server Infrastructure.

• IS infrastructure technology knowledge and expertise to infrastructure IS activity within all IS process domains. Experience applying analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Extensive Windows knowledge and support experience, Microsoft Office and Support of 0365.

• Experience in programming or scripting in an IT environment is preferred.

• Fluent in English.
