Istio Specialist

PwC Managed Services seeks a skilled DevOps Engineer with expertise in implementing and managing Istio Service Mesh within Kubernetes clusters, leveraging Azure Kubernetes Services. The role involves designing and maintaining GitOps workflows, preferably using Flux, in an Azure-centric environment. Candidates should also have experience with GitHub Enterprise tools, Terraform, and GitHub Actions.

Essential Functions

Lead Istio Configurations : Maintain and lead the team in managing Istio configurations, including gateway management, ingress/egress, control planes, data planes, Envoy filters, Istio and Envoy gateways, performance, traffic management, and security policies.

Azure Support : Oversee the support, maintenance, and operations of deployed Azure items.

Design and Development : Develop reusable patterns for managing applications within a single cluster environment related to Istio deployment.
