Key Responsibilities
The Microsoft 365 Architect leads the design, implementation and governance of scalable, secure, and compliant solutions for an organization using Microsoft 365 services. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, etc. to ensure optimal use of Microsoft technologies such as Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Power Platform, and others.
Assess the current problem scenario and accordingly design, suggest and implement the best solution independently.
Should be able to manage the in-place policies and create/update/decommission policies based on requirements.
Manage and govern Power Platform Assets and the environment effectively. Should be able to take new initiatives to manage the environment effectively.
Should be able to work in collaboration with multiple teams like Security, Identity, HR, etc. and should be able to deliver collaborative solutions accordingly.
Should be able to deliver automation projects which can have a great impact on process improvement or costing.
Should review Microsoft product roadmaps and Notifications and accordingly prepare the tenant for the changes.
Should be able to manage the M365 and other licensing and work towards best cost-management scenery.
Driving security and governance initiatives like MIP, DLP, etc. across the tenant.
Should be able to manage App Integrations and graph permission review.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
8+ years of experience in supporting M365 tools, particularly working as a solutions architect for at least more than 5 years.
Strong understanding of M365 administration including Identity, Application and Security aspects of M365.
Must have prior experience in designing solutions in multi-Tenant scenarios. Prior Tenant to Tenant migration experience is a plus.
Strong working knowledge on User Identity and Device Identity.
Should possess good PowerShell scripting knowledge.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate and deliver.
Certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert (Preferred), Microsoft 365 Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate, etc.
