IT Architect
- 12 months contract – July start!

- Australian Citizens with Baseline Clearance
Infinite Consulting is seeking an experienced IT Architect for our esteemed Federal Government Client. This is a July start for an initial 12 months contract with 2x12 months further options to extend based on funding and approval.
About the Role:
The IT Architect will play a pivotal role in transforming IT strategies into operational solutions, driving innovation, and enhancing digital capabilities. Key duties and responsibilities will include:
- Design, implement contemporary ICT infrastructure solutions that meet business requirements, and align with architecture roadmaps and strategic objectives.
- Develop and maintain detailed IT Operations technical roadmaps for infrastructure projects, based on the broader architectural road maps and patterns.
- Ensure the security, compliance, and governance of infrastructure architectures by adhering to Cyber Security policies and frameworks.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams and other stakeholders.
- Influence solution design and oversee the implementation of infrastructure solutions, ensuring they are deployed correctly and meet performance requirements.
- Conduct research and stay up-to-date on emerging trends and technologies.
- Deliver cost-effective operational solutions, ensuring awareness of operational costs and total cost of ownership, including licensing, cloud expenses, and operational oversight and management.
Essential criteria:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, with strong focus on cloud technologies and solution architecture.
- Strong practical experience in technical design, operations and delivering infrastructure solutions in a broad range of platforms and technologies.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), infrastructure as code (IaC) tools, and automation technologies. Strong Cyber Security skill set.
- Proven experience in leading technical teams and projects, with excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Federal Government and Cyber Security Knowledge: Demonstrated experience working within the Federal Government IT space, particularly with delivering solutions that support Cyber Security frameworks and guidelines.
