Our client, a leading provider of business services and workplace solutions based in Ashton-under-Lyne is seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst & Hardware Technician to join their IT department.

As the IT Business Analyst & Hardware Technician, your job purpose will be to provide Tier 1 IT Support to the business. You will manage the handling and communication between the Company user base and the Service Desk process from the initial point of contact through to notification of resolution.

Main Duties:

  • Manage the Service Desk telephone line during core business hours.
  • Be the initial response for all IT-related requests to the Service Desk.
  • Solve all IT requests that come into the Service Desk.
  • Delegate requests to 2nd line support where there are knowledge gaps within processes or where you cannot solve a ticket.
  • Liaise with external Suppliers on requests that are serviced externally.
