Position Title:

Senior Compute Engineer

REPORTING TO: Food, Feed and Agro Testing Europe

NUMBER OF EMPLOYEES

UNDER RESPONSIBILITY:

OVERALL OBJECTIVES: As part of the IT Infrastructure Support Team for Eurofins Food, Feed & Agro Testing Europe, you will join a growing international team to work on maintenance of newly deployed segregated IT User Zones and Application Availability Groups server, storage and backup infrastructures. Your role will be to support daily operations tasks and to support project workload including design & implementation of new infrastructure or migrate the existing network components. You will collaborate with number of different IT Support and Delivery Teams on daily basis. It will require MS Server OS, AD, ESXi Storage and Backup engineering skills. Open mind and ability to cooperate with multiple individuals in a multicultural environment is essential.

SPECIFIC ASSIGNMENTS:

  • Maintain current IT User Zones and IT Application Availability MS Server OS, AD, ESXi/Hyper V Storage and Backup infrastructure
  • Design, plan and implement IT Infrastructure Transformation / Integration / Segregation throughout Food and Environment testing businesses across Europe. These projects will be aimed to perform installations, configuration and migrations of enterprise-level IT infrastructure systems from legacy to the new solutions
  • Propose and deliver solutions that best meet the business needs in terms of security, cost and bandwidth
  • Work close with Network, Cloud (Azure/AWS), Application team members do deliver the IT Infrastructure as wider project. Act based on the end-to-end view of the infrastructure
  • Document the solutions delivered and help to transition the service to regional teams in final stage of the project

    • REQUIRED SKILLS:

    An ideal candidate should have strong 5+ year's experience in all the below:

  • Experience in server (virtual & physical) infrastructure design and transitions
  • VMware: Support, HA/DRS, Standard/Distributed switch, Resource Pools, ESXi server hardware sizing
  • Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 deployment & support, File servers, Active Directory, MS Exchange
  • SCCM experience
  • Automation with PowerShell, Ansible etc.
  • Storage: Fiber channel SAN, Fiber channel Switch configuration
  • Networking: DNS, DHCP (with failover)
  • Windows PKI (offline root, sub)
  • Monitoring tools
  • Very good command of English written and spoken
  • Ability to present technical projects on meetings

    • Below skills will be an advantage:

  • Azure experience
  • Ansible for Azure automation
  • VMware: Design/Implementation on large enterprise level projects
  • Distributed switch ESXi server hardware sizing experience
  • Windows PKI (offline root, sub)
  • ADFS – highly desired
  • NPS
  • Web Application Proxy
  • Symantec VIP (Multi factor authentication)
  • Data Center Operations
  • SolarWinds Monitoring
  • Storage: Small Zones - Dell storage, Large Zones - NetApp
