**Job Summary and Responsibilities**
The Network Engineer job family has responsibility for infrastructure/technical planning, implementation and support activities for network environments owned by the CommonSpirit Health ITD Technical Infrastructure team. The creation and maintenance of overall network plans, encompassing the communication of data, voice, text and image, in the support of an organization's business strategy. This includes the planning of all aspects of infrastructure necessary to ensure provision of network services to meet specified requirements. The operation and control of the IT infrastructure that is required to deliver and support the information systems needs of a business. Responsibilities include resolving software and hardware related problems, preparation for new or changed services, administering technology layers, monitoring of performance of systems, performing capacity planning and conducting version management.
