Job Description
Job Mission
The IT Project Manager handles medium and large-scale complex IT projects related to major business development and company transformation initiatives, coordinating cross functional teams (including any external parties involved) and acting as liaison between IT and business stakeholders (including external stakeholders).
Main Accountabilities
- Defines resource requirements, ensures resource availability and allocation in collaboration with the Department heads
- Works with project teams (IT and business stakeholders) in clarifying project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders (including external stakeholders), acts as the single point of contact between IT and business teams
- Develops detailed project plan using the appropriate tools in accordance with the company processes, tracks activities against plan providing regular, accurate and timely reports
- Monitors project progress and manages changes in project scope, schedule and costs
- Performs risk management to minimize project risks, escalates appropriately when/as necessary
- Measures project performance, using appropriate techniques and tools
- Creates and maintains project documentation (actions, issues, risks log and status reports)
- Prepares agendas for the project meetings, circulates minutes of meetings and coordinates any required follow-up activities
- Ensures that projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget
Requirements
Education, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or relevant technology-related field
- Minimum 5 years of of proven working experience in managing Information Technology solutions delivery projects
- Excellent knowledge of Project Management tools, experience in Waterfall or/and Agile delivery methodologies
- Experience in Banking environment or/and Project Management certification will be considered an asset
- Computer literacy, knowledge of MS Office
