As an IT Project Manager at Micron Technology, you are responsible for duties related to managing a successful project. You must successfully manage, monitor, and control the project through all phases from initiation, planning, execution/control, and timely/within budget project closure. Demonstrate experience in various levels of planning, from identifying project requirements to establishing clear objectives, coordinating with collaborators, and following project methodology and standards.

The IT Project Manager is a strategic role that requires collaboration with business stakeholders to ensure business needs are met. This includes a full understanding how a project impacts the strategic roadmap of the business and aligning project execution to help achieve business objectives. 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or Business Management, or equivalent work experience

  • 8 years experience leading large-scale project delivery in a technical environment

  • Prior experience as a project manager in a matrixed organization

  • Ability to communicate with customers and colleagues with impact, credibility, and influence.

  • Outstanding influence skills to effectively drive program / project efforts. Ability to quickly put structure in place and drive adoption

  • Outstanding organization, coordination, and leadership skills – ability to partner and find common points of agreement with stakeholders

  • Other

  • 8+ years' experience in Information Technology. 7+ years in program/project management

  • PMP, Agile, Lean, Six Sigma or other industry recognized certifications preferred

  • Coordinates aspects of projects, including: project definition, documentation, testing, training, data gathering, and implementation, with the guidance of more experienced team members. Talks to customers, including but not limited to: Planning, Engineering, Management, Production, Process Coordinators, Equipment Support, Information Systems, Training, Product Engineering and other support groups to facilitate successful implementation of Projects.
