Job Summary:
The IT Sales Trainee supports the sales team by learning the product suite, engaging in lead generation, and assisting with client outreach. This entry-level role is designed to provide foundational training in B2B software sales and prepare the trainee for a permanent sales executive position.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Training and Development
Participate in structured training programs covering product knowledge, CRM usage, objection handling, and negotiation techniques.
Shadow senior sales representatives and attend client meetings to understand the full sales lifecycle.
Lead Generation and Prospecting
Identify potential clients through research, LinkedIn outreach, and CRM tools
Qualify inbound and outbound leads via email, cold calling, and social platforms.
Customer Engagement
Assist in preparing sales pitches, Presentations, and proposals.
Support in product demos and respond to customer inquiries under supervision.
CRM Management
Maintain accurate and updated records in the CRM system.
Track communication with leads and schedule follow-ups.
Team Support
Collaborate with marketing and product teams to understand positioning and client pain points.
Provide administrative support for sales operations (scheduling, documentation, etc.).
Skills and Qualifications:
Education:
Degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or related field.
Required Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Eagerness to learn sales techniques and technical software concepts.
High motivation, resilience, and goal-orientation.
Familiarity with digital tools: Excel, CRM systems, and email platforms.
Preferred Skills:
Internships or part-time experience in sales or customer-facing roles.
Growth Path:
Successful completion of the trainee period (typically 3–6 months) may lead to promotion to Junior Software Sales Executive
