IT Support Engineer 6-Month Contract | Daily Rate | Sydney - WHV
We are seeking a Level 1/2 IT Support Engineer to join a growing IT team supporting medical clinic environments across Sydney. This is a hands-on, on-site role suited to someone who enjoys user interaction, troubleshooting in real time, and supporting critical systems in a healthcare setting.
 
This is a 6-month contract offering a competitive daily rate with a strong chance of extension. Ideal for an IT support professional looking to build experience across end-user computing and multi-site healthcare operations.
 
Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting Windows 10 & Windows 11 desktop and laptop environments
  • Troubleshooting PCs, laptops, monitors, docks, printers, scanners, and medical-clinic peripherals
  • Providing support for Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint)
  • User administration in Active Directory (account creation, password resets, group management)
  • Diagnosing and resolving network connectivity issues (Wi-Fi, LAN, VPN, network drives, printing issues)
  • Installing, configuring, and patching software and operating systems
  • Performing device builds, swaps, and hardware refreshes
  • Logging, updating, and resolving tickets via an ITIL-aligned service desk
  • Delivering clear, professional support to both clinical and non-clinical users
  • Travelling between clinic sites to provide on-site support as required

What You'll Bring

  • Experience in a Level 1/2 IT Support, Desktop Support, or Service Desk role
  • Solid technical knowledge of:
    • Windows 10 / Windows 11
    • Desktop and laptop troubleshooting
    • Printers, scanners, and peripherals
    • Microsoft 365 applications
    • Active Directory
  • Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Wi-Fi troubleshooting)
  • Experience working with ticketing systems and ITIL processes
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
  • Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel between clinic locations
