The Role
We are looking for an experienced IT Support Officer to support the Diabetes WA IT Specialist in delivering day-to-day IT services across the organisation. Reporting to the IT Specialist and GM - Business Operations, the position involves providing professional technical support to DWA staff and other stakeholders, assisting them with IT requests and resolving basic technical issues.
Type: Part Time 0.6 FTE β which can be worked flexibly over 3 to 5 days per week.
Salary: Competitive salary starting at $37.55 per hour, plus superannuation.

Responsibilities
- Provide high quality and customer focussed support service to the DWA staff/user group.
- Prioritise tasks based on urgency and business impact, responding accordingly to ensure incidents are resolved efficiently.
- Troubleshooting level 1 and 2 IT hardware issues, Microsoft Surface docks, Bluetooth connections, monitors, cameras, cabling, etc.
- Application troubleshooting for MS Office 365, SharePoint and Teams.
- Respond to support requests via ticketing systems, phone, email, and in person.
- Escalate complex issues to IT Specialist or external vendors when required.
- Contribute to the training and development of staff to promote skills, and a culture of self-learning.
- Complete the provisioning and de-provisioning of new users and equipment.
- Maintain accurate documentation of systems, procedures, and fixes.
- Assist with the maintenance of the IT asset register.
- Ensure IT practices comply with organisational policies, cybersecurity standards, and WHS requirements.
Ideal Candidate (Selection Criteria)
- Experience in an IT Support/Help Desk role (1-3 years).
- Tertiary Qualification, in information technology or similar.
- A keen understanding of the importance of digital security and privacy, particularly within the health sector.
- Experience with Windows 10/11.
- Experience in creating and updating IT policies, procedures and processes.
- Sound time management, organisation and problem-solving skills.
- Highly effective communication, interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail with fast and accurate data entry skills.
- Experience with MS Intune, Azure AD, Business Central and MS Dynamics CRM (Desirable).
- Experience with Adobe suite including Creative Cloud (Desirable).
