IT System Engineer

Network/ System Engineer (6 months contract) - extendable / renewable

Responsibilities:

As a System/ Network Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:

• Able to propose/ configure/ support network equipment, including Routers , CISCO, Fortinet, Firewall, and other IT security software.

• Experience with CISCO core switches, Access Points such as Aironet / Meraki / HP Aruba is a plus.

• Familiarize with CISCO Network LAN, WAN and VPN design.

• Pre-sales for client IT environment, technology refreshes and solution proposals.

• Setup and perform troubleshooting with network technical skills, including CISCO Routers, CISCO Switches, wireless AP devices, Fortinet Firewalls, and system management tools like Network Analysis and etc.

• Able to Install WINDOWS Server O/S, WIN 11, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Platform for Servers, and PCs with hands-on experience in setup and configuration.

• Knowledge of setup/configure/troubleshoot VMWare, Exchange Server, SQL, and Virtual Server, VPN, along with hardware configuration experience (Server, external backup, UPS) in FAS System, HPE Storage, Synology NAL, etc.

Requirements:

• Unified Communication Audio Video experience is desirable but not necessary.

• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, MCSE, or other professional certificates would be advantageous.

• Able to support Marine IT industry including onsite shipyard for setup, troubleshooting and support IT Network system is a must.

• High School Certificate / Diploma / Degree in Computer Studies.

• Minimum of 3 years of systems support with System Integration (SI) experience is preferred but not necessary.
