The Company

We're partnering with a growing organisation to find an IT Systems Administrator (Azure) to join a small, collaborative IT team supporting a modern Microsoft cloud environment.

This role is ideal for a hands-on cloud professional who enjoys ownership, variety, and working across Azure infrastructure, DevOps, and IT operations. You'll play a key role in ensuring the availability, security, and performance of business-critical cloud services, while also supporting end-user technologies when required.

The Role

As the IT Systems Administrator (Azure), you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and optimisation of Azure-based infrastructure, working closely with internal stakeholders and providing backup support across EUC when needed.

You'll also have the opportunity to upskill into D365 and the Power Platform, making this a great long-term growth role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support Azure cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, scalability, and cost optimisation
  • Monitor and troubleshoot issues across Azure and on-prem environments
  • Implement and maintain cloud security best practices
  • Formulate technical documentation for systems, processes, and procedures
  • Provide backup support across Intune, Entra ID, and EUC when required
  • Stay abreast of emerging cloud technologies, proactively recommending improvements

    Your Profile

  • Proven experience in a Cloud Engineer, DevOps, or Systems Administration role
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including at least some of the following:
  • Virtual Machines
  • App Services & Functions
  • Azure Storage
  • Azure Networking (VPN, ExpressRoute, Service Endpoints)
  • Experience DevOps tooling
  • Strong scripting and automation skills
  • Solid understanding of cloud security principles and compliance best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across teams
  • Azure or M365 certifications (Fundamentals, Administrator, or DevOps Engineer)
