Position Summary

The DWS Tooling Test Team Lead is responsible for managing and guiding a team of software testers to ensure the delivery of high-quality IT solutions. This role involves overseeing the planning, execution, and reporting of testing activities, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving continuous improvement within the testing process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of test engineers and analysts.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee testing activities for multiple projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases based on project requirements and technical specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with development, business analysis, and project management teams to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
  • Monitor and report on test progress, defects, and quality metrics to stakeholders.
  • Ensure the effective use of test automation frameworks and tools where appropriate.
  • Drive process improvements and best practices in software testing and quality assurance.
  • Manage resource allocation, workload distribution, and team performance appraisals.
  • Ensure compliance with organisational policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.

    • Preferred Skills

  • Certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE, or similar.
  • Experience in performance and security testing.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Background in cloud-based or mobile application testing.

    • You will be successful in this role if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and various testing methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Proficiency with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Quality Center).
  • Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, QTP, or similar) is a plus.
  • Experience of working of SalesForce, Dynamics and ServiceNow.
