Job Description Job Description Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1 years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. An infusion pharmacy is seeking an experienced IV Certified Pharmacy Technician to join their team on a full-time basis. This role focuses on sterile compounding and maintaining a clean, safe pharmacy environment in accordance with USP 797 guidelines. The position offers a 13-week contract with potential for hire or direct hire options. Location: Katy, TX Schedule: Monday to Friday, Day Shift On-Call: Every 5th-6th Saturday rotation Key Responsibilities: Accurately prepare sterile compounds including IV TPN, IV admixtures, and antibiotics while adhering to USP 797 and clean room guidelines Maintain cleanliness and sterility of the pharmacy cleanroom; perform daily and monthly deep cleaning including ceilings and walls Restock sterile compound supplies and manage inventory Monitor and document temperature, pressure, and humidity in the cleanroom environment using RxPestle Perform monthly sampling tests under pharmacist supervision Coordinate data entry tasks such as intake processing and assist with patient and healthcare professional communication Assist with packing deliveries and answer phone calls as needed Desired Experience and Qualifications: TX Pharmacy Technician License and IV Certification required National PTCB Certification preferred Minimum 2 years of experience with sterile compounding and IV admixture preparation Familiarity with inotropic medications, antibiotics, and TPNs (non-chemo site) Proven ability to lead and maintain quality standards in a clean room environment Work Environment and Culture:This pharmacy emphasizes precision, quality, and stable processes while fostering a collaborative, outcome-oriented, and supportive team approach.
