Role Overview

Responsible for providing bilingual communication and coordination support for project teams working on payment hub systems. This includes accurate translation of documents, interpretation during meetings, and cultural guidance to ensure smooth collaboration between Japanese and English-speaking stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

  • Translate written materials (Japanese ⇔ English) with precision in tone and context.
  • Support verbal and written communication during meetings, workshops, and client interactions.
  • Prepare and translate meeting minutes, summaries, and project documentation.
  • Maintain translation records, glossaries, and style guides for consistency.
  • Provide cultural insights to prevent misunderstandings and facilitate collaboration.
  • Work closely with Project Manager, QA Lead, and other stakeholders to align language support with project needs.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in language studies, translation, or related field.
  • JLPT N2 or equivalent proficiency in Japanese.
  • Strong proficiency in Japanese and English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Experience in business translation and interpretation in IT or financial domains.
  • Ability to understand technical terminology related to payment systems and IT projects.
  • Understanding of IT system development lifecycle and related processes.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of project documentation standards and QA processes.
  • Experience in banking or financial system projects.
  • Familiarity with ISO20022 and payment system terminology.
  • Ability to manage translation memory tools and maintain glossaries.
  • Relevant certifications in translation/interpretation.
