Creospan is hiring for Java Application Support Engineer
Experience: 5+ Years
Location: Kharadi, Pune Hybrid
About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Java Application Support Engineer (L2/L3) to join a high-impact production support team. The role involves deep application troubleshooting, microservices and API-level debugging, major incident handling, and RCA ownership for enterprise Java platforms. You will closely work with senior leads and stakeholders to ensure production stability and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide L2/L3 production support for Java-based enterprise applications
• Troubleshoot application issues across Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices
• Perform log analysis and monitoring using tools like App Dynamics, Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana
• Own major incidents, service restoration, and root cause analysis (RCA)
• Handle incidents, problems, and changes using Service Now
• Collaborate with development, infra, and DB teams for issue resolution
• Support deployments, releases, DR drills, and post-release validations
• Create and maintain runbooks, SOPs, and operational documentation
• Participate in on-call and rotational production support
Required Skills & Qualifications
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java / J2 EE application support (L2/L3)
• Strong understanding of Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices architecture
• Good hands-on experience with SQL / Oracle databases
• Experience with Service Now (Incident, Problem, Change Management)
• Exposure to monitoring and observability tools (App Dynamics, Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana)
• Experience in RCA, DR testing, and failover activities
• Familiarity with Tomcat / Web Logic
• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
