  • This role is for Senior Software Engineer responsible for Design and Developing software applications.
  • The candidate is expected to work closely with Team Leads or Software Development Managers and other key stake holders to ensure good quality, maintainable, scalable and high performing software applications are delivered to users.
  • Candidate should be coming from a strong technological background. Should be hands on and be able to work independently requiring minimal technical/tool guidance.
  • Should be able to technically guide and mentor junior developers in the team. Work closely with team members and vendor team to design and develop software. Should have good communication skill and strong positive outlook.

    • Your key responsibilities

  • Hands-on software development
  • Knowledge of solution design
  • Experience in Agile and Scrum delivery
  • Should be able to contribute towards good software design
  • Participate in daily stand-up meetings
  • Strong communication with stakeholders
  • Articulate issues and risks to management in timely manner
  • Train and mentor junior team members to bring them up to speed 
  • Analyze software defects and fix them in timely manner
  • Work closely with Functional Analysis and Quality Assurance teams
  • Collaborates with colleagues participating in other stages of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

    • Your skills and experience

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in software development
  • Strong development skills in Java 8 and above, knowledge of Python is a plus
  • Hands on expertise in Java frameworks like Spring, Spring Boot, JPA and Hibernate.
  • Hands on Expert in Oracle – SQL & PL/SQL
  • Hands on experience in developing REST Web Services
  • Hands on experience with any front end framework – Angular or React
  • Should have sound knowledge in Build tools – Maven, TeamCity
  • Should have sound knowledge in web and application servers like Tomcat (preferably), Weblogic, Webspere, JBoss etc.
  • Should have sound knowledge in revision control system – Git (preferable), SVN
  • Experience with linux scripting & any scheduling tool preferably BMC Control-M
  • SDLC Tools - JIRA, Sonar, Veracode /JFrog, TeamCity, BitBucket
  • Cloud: Exposure to any public cloud preferably GCP.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with competing and alternating priorities with a constant focus on delivery.
  • Ability to balance business demands and IT fulfilment in terms of standardization, reducing risk and increasing IT flexibility.
  • Candidate is expected to have high desire to learn new technologies and implement various solutions in fast paced environment.
