Responsibilities

The role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining integration services and microservices , primarily using Java (with Python as a secondary language). The engineer will develop scalable APIs and event-driven integrations leveraging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS, and GraphQL , following modern event-driven and asynchronous architectures .

A key aspect of the role is the use of AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Windsurf, Amp) to improve development speed, code quality, and operational efficiency. The position also involves evaluating and adopting emerging AI tools and implementing AI-powered and agentic integrations to automate and enhance business processes, while adhering to responsible AI practices, data privacy, and governance standards .

Must-Have Skills
  • 7–10 years of experience in Java (primary) and Python (secondary)
  • Strong hands-on experience with microservices architecture and full API lifecycle management
  • Expertise in REST APIs
  • Experience with event-driven architecture and asynchronous processing
  • MuleSoft experience (API development, integrations, automation, or advanced design)
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools
  • Knowledge of Responsible AI, data privacy, and governance
  • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new AI and integration technologies
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Agentic integrations and AI-driven automation
  • Open-source integration frameworks
  • Exposure to emerging AI productivity tools
  • Cloud and CI/CD , preferably AWS
  • Basic exposure to GraphQL (ability to quickly learn and apply)
