As a Job Captain, you will oversee the technical execution of projects, manage workloads against project schedules, coordinate with outside consultants, and monitor progress. You will assist in construction administration tasks and be responsible for handling shop draw reviews, RFI responses, and the production of construction documents. Your role involves regular interaction and collaboration with coworkers, supervisors, consultants, and clients, and requires both independent and team-based work.
Responsibilities

+ Oversee technical execution of projects.

+ Manage workload against project schedules and coordinate outside consultants.

+ Monitor project progress and assist in construction administration tasks.

+ Request submittal fees from accounting, travel to job sites, drop off city submittals, and produce record set drawings once the project is complete.

+ Handle shop draw reviews, RFI responses, and produce construction documents.

+ Attend and participate in internal and off-site meetings with coworkers, consultants, and clients.

+ Manage individual workflow and processes.

+ Collaborate with estimating and construction teams on project details, bidding concerns, and document coordination.

+ Assist in achieving targeted deadlines, group goals, and firm-wide improvements.

+ Follow and enforce Quality Control procedures.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Architectural Designer or Job Captain.

+ B.S. in Architecture.

+ Proficiency in Revit (8/10).

+ Experience in commercial (retail, restaurants, office) or industrial (warehouse) projects.

+ Experience from schematic design to construction administration.

+ Ability to manage documents in Revit.

+ Understanding of local zoning, building codes, energy codes, ADA requirements, and related procedures.

+ Collaborative and a team player.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Proficiency in AutoCAD.

+ Experience in design and construction administration.

Work Environment
The workweek is Monday through Thursday from 8 AM to 5 PM, and Friday from 8 AM to 3 PM, totaling 40 hours. There is flexibility with one work-from-home day, which can be either Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
