This role requires strong expertise in Linux operating systems, virtualization technologies, and data center infrastructure to ensure efficient, secure, and seamless migration with minimal downtime.<br /> Key Responsibilities:<br /> Plan, prepare, and execute the migration of Linux VMs between data centers using virtualization tools and best practices.<br /> Assess the current Linux VM environments to identify dependencies, configurations, and migration requirements.<br /> Perform pre-migration activities including environment audits, compatibility checks, and backup verification.<br /> Configure and optimize the target virtualization environment to support Linux VMs post-migration.<br /> Execute VM migrations using tools such as VMware vMotion, KVM live migration, or other relevant technologies.<br /> Manage Linux OS configurations, services, and troubleshoot any issues during and after migration.<br /> Collaborate with network, storage, security, and application teams to ensure infrastructure readiness.<br /> Develop and execute comprehensive test plans validating VM functionality and performance post-migration.<br /> Monitor migration progress and resolve technical challenges promptly.<br /> Document migration procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting outcomes.<br /> Provide post-migration support including performance tuning and stabilization of Linux VMs.<br /> Share knowledge and provide training to operations teams on Linux VM management.</p>
