Roles and Responsibilities
Benchmark competitive thermal components, to define functional target and engineering specifications Create proof of concept demonstrations for integrated thermal management systems Work closely with suppliers on design evaluation and validation of the thermal management system hardware in order to meet product specification and requirements Coordinate and conduct hardware testing in the lab to verify and validate thermal management system hardware functionality and reliability. Strong fundamentals of heat-transfer and thermodynamics, devices like pumps, radiators, refrigerant systems, battery, motor, Inverter & transmission etc. Manage refrigeration cycle, refrigerant plumbing, mounting, compressor, condenser design; 1D, CFD and CAE modeling. Excellent proficiency with creating controls-oriented dynamic system models of thermal, hydraulic, or mechanical systems in Matlab/Simulink/Python etc. Prototype development and testing; systems engineering fundamentals; and plumbing, compressor, condenser manufacturing is required Working experience with automotive systems design, packaging and assembly requirements.
