Job Title: Pump Technician

• Good knowledge of mechanics, electrics & electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic equipment
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, punctual and good attendance record
• Good attention to detail
• Ensure quality and accurate equipment setups on all applicable equipment
• Reads and writes Basic English; should be able to follow verbal and written instructions
• Knowledge of basic electronics, mechanics, math, computers, calculators, and testing.
• Ability to provide semi-professional tech support for Equipment Engineer or Machine Development Technicians

As a Field Service/Maintenance Technician Role:

• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / Standards, and perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Perform work assigned in a safe, well-managed manner.
• Perform work within Standard Repair Times (SRTs).
• Communicate with the Maintenance Supervisor and crews to coordinate work and provide updates.
• Works under limited supervision and selects from written instructions and established procedures to accomplish assigned tasks.
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers’ specifications.
• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting and overhauling of different kinds of API & ISO Standard Equipment) Centrifugal pumps, Positive displacement pumps, compressors, gear box and blowers.
• Prepare safe work permits, hot and cold work, lifting permits and confined space permits.
• Prepare pre and post inspection reports and corrective action reports.
• Carry out site installation of rotating equipment- all types of Pumps, blowers & gears box
• Carry out site alignment for rotating equipment (Rim and Face, Reverse method)

As a Rotating Equipment Service Technician Role:

• Overhauling of all type of Pumps: Sea water, Multistage (vertical and horizontal)
• Alignment of Rotating Equipment (Pumps & Motors)
• Dynamic balancing of all rotating equipment.
• Overhauling of blowers.
• Overhauling of Hydraulic pumps and hydraulic cylinders.
• Overhauling of diesel & petrol engine.
• Overhauling of compressors.
• Overhauling of gear boxes.
• Overhauling of centrifugal pumps.
• Maintenance of Caterpillar equipment
• Machining activities
• Maintenance of lathe machine, milling machine, drilling machine, grinding machine, vertical lathe and horizontal boring machine.
• Thermal spray operator (Arc)
• HVOF powder coating
• Welding gas cutting
• Bolt torque and Tensioning.
