Jointing Technician

We currently have a requirement for a Laboratory Jointing Technician based within the High Voltage Laboratory at Bishopstoke, to work on Prysmian Group contract type tests and research and development activities.

The successful applicant must have a responsible attitude and be committed to safety, have some basic knowledge of power and optical jointing and commitment to work as part of a larger team.

Applicants must be hard working, reliable, organized and enthusiastic with the ability to provide quality work and meet targets within a fast moving environment. A commitment to work a reasonable amount of overtime is required.

The UK High Voltage Laboratory tests everything from high voltage to extra high voltage cables and accessories and is the largest laboratory both within the UK and within the Prysmian Group worldwide.

The main responsibilities of this role:

• To work on XLPE and fluid filled cable projects, assisting high voltage cable jointers.
