Junior Accountant - Italian Speaking

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support the analysis of financial performance data across multiple sites. The role involves reviewing and analyzing Excel-based financial reports, identifying discrepancies or inconsistencies, and proactively coordinating with site stakeholders to clarify and resolve issues. This position is ideal for someone early in their accounting career who is strong in Excel, analytical thinking, and communication.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze Excel-based financial performance reports received from multiple sites

Review financial data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency

Identify discrepancies, variances, or potential errors in reported figures

Investigate root causes of variances by reviewing supporting data and assumptions

Communicate with site-level stakeholders to clarify data issues and resolve discrepancies

Follow up with sites to ensure corrections are made in a timely manner

Maintain clear documentation of identified issues, resolutions, and adjustments

Support month-end and periodic reporting activities as required

Assist in improving reporting templates and data validation checks in Excel

Escalate unresolved or material issues to senior accountants or finance managers

Required Qualifications

Fluent in Italian with prior customer facing experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

0–2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or data analysis (internships included)

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, lookups)

Basic understanding of financial statements and performance metrics

High attention to detail and strong analytical skills

Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with non-finance stakeholders
