Junior Accountant

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Research Financial Analyst to join our team temporarily. This role focuses on assisting with the Payment and Cheque Deposit Review responsibilities, addressing a current backlog, and ensuring accurate financial operations.

• Ensure cheques are deposited into the correct accounts, addressing any backlog issues.
• Investigate unknown payments and deposits, contacting payors to confirm payment details and request remittance advices.
• Review and process payment/expense requisitions and ensure receipts are attached in accordance with expense and signing authority policies.
• Manage and support the email inbox, ensuring timely communication with senior leadership.
• Assist with the deposit process and electronic filing system management.
