Junior / Associate IT Operations Engineer at Promasidor

Promasidor is hiring both a Junior and an Associate ICT Operations Engineer to support its Ghana operations and several neighbouring countries. You’ll be part of our pan-African ICT team (PICT), keeping our infrastructure and users productive across a dynamic, multi-country environment.

We’re open to candidates with 1–5 years of experience. Appointment level (Junior or Associate) will depend on your experience and capability.

What You’ll Do

• Provide first-line helpdesk support to end users

• Install and maintain PCs, printers, scanners, and operating systems

• Deploy and support Microsoft productivity tools (Outlook, Teams, Office)

• Track IT assets and assist with procurement and disposal

• Monitor backups, apply OS patches, and support security controls

• Document configurations and resolved issues

• Contribute to infrastructure projects and rollouts

If appointed at Associate level, you will also:

• Troubleshoot more complex LAN/WAN issues

• Lead assigned project tasks and deliver milestones

• Deliver basic user training sessions

• Optimise performance and proactively improve processes

• Maintain asset lifecycle data and support audit readiness

What You Bring

For Junior-level candidates:

• Diploma or higher in IT, Computer Science, or related field

• 1–2 years’ experience in IT support

• Entry-level certificate CompTIA A+) is a plus

For Associate-level candidates:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred

• 3–5 years’ experience in IT support or similar role

• Stronger skills in networking, automation, and project coordination

• CompTIA Network+ or equivalent preferred
